The New York Jets have re-signed nose tackle Sione Pouha to a three-year contract, according to ESPNNewYork.com.
Pouha, 33, had 58 tackles for the Jets last season and has been a valuable presence on the interior of the defensive line. The Jets had made him a priority to retain this off-season.
Pouha also have value as a locker room leader, something the Jets can ill afford to lose more of after the rumblings and grumblings of the 2011 season.
