Jets re-sign Bogosian for $36 million

The Winnipeg Jets reached agreement with restricted free agent defenseman Zach Bogosian on a seven-year deal worth $36 million, the team announced Monday.

Bogosian, 23, had five goals and nine assists this past season when he averaged 23:07 of ice time in 33 games.

The Jets recently avoided arbitration by signing winger Blaker Wheeler to a long-term deal.

Bogosian and Wheeler join Evander Kane, Bryan Little, and Tobias Enstrom as players the Jets have signed through at least 2017-18.

Only two NHL players remain headed for arbitration: Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello and Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Fraser.
