Jets land Eric Decker

The New York Jets have agreed to a five-year, $36.25 million contract with wide receiver Eric Decker that includes $15 million guaranteed.

The team announced the deal tonight.

Decker, 26, had a career-high 87 receptions for 1,288 yards last season.

Now, he gets the opportunity to be a No. 1 wide receiver with the Jets' only other proven receiver on the roster being Jeremy Kerley.

Decker scored 11 touchdowns last season.

Decker averaged 86 receptions for 1,176 yards and a dozen touchdowns over the past two seasons.

The Jets ranked 29th in scoring and 31st in passing offense last season.

Decker has scored 32 touchdowns over the past three seasons.
