The Jets hired former Seahawks executive John Idzik as their general manager, owner Woody Johnson announced Friday.
Idzik spent the past six seasons with Seattle and was the team’s vice president of football administration.
Prior to joining the Seahawks, Idzik was the Cardinals’ senior director of football operations for three seasons. He got his NFL start in 1993 with the Buccaneers and spent 11 years in Tampa.
Idzik replaces Mike Tannenbaum, who was fired on Dec. 31.
