What's buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Jets work out David Garrard

National Football Post

In their never-ending quest to find non-franchise quarterbacks, the New York Jets have worked out David Garrard, says the New York Daily News.

To be fair, Garrard, 35, at one point was a pretty good quarterback a few years ago, but due to injuries has not been on an NFL regular-season roster since 2010 when he was the Jacksonville Jaguars starter.

The Jaguars released Garrard just before the 2011 season and he underwent back surgery, missing all of that year. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, and was working with the first team in preseason but underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and was released by the club.

The Jets already have Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow (whom they are reportedly trying to move), Greg McElroy and Matt Simms on the roster. And earlier this week, there was a report that the Jets are interested in Chiefs QB Brady Quinn.
