Jets coach Ryan still sticking with QB Sanchez

New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said in Monday's teleconference that he is sticking with Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback, but backup Tim Tebow could get a bigger role.

"I think Mark's our guy, there's no doubt about that," Ryan said via the Newark Star-Ledger.

Ryan said that Sanchez was "fairly accurate" when he got enough time to throw.

"I think Mark gives us the best chance to win, and that's how I feel," Ryan said. "Can Tim be successful? ... We'll take a hard look at how we're using him."

Tebow only played one snap during Sunday's 30-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The Jets have a bye this week and Ryan is giving the team the week off from practice.
