Jerrell Freeman ruled out for Week 2, Josh McNary to start

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Saturday that starting linebacker Jerrell Freeman (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Eagles.

It's a blow to the team's pass defense, as Freeman is regarded as the defense's best coverage linebacker. In his absence, the start will go to Josh McNary, of whom Pagano said, "The guy can flat out run and cover," per Colts.com. Offensive lineman Joe Reitz has also been ruled out for Monday's game.
