Jay Gruden officially on Eagles' list

As the Philadelphia Eagles re-boot their coaching search following two high-powered plays for college coaches Chip Kelly and Bill O’Brien, their list has been expanded.

The Eagles have requested and received permission to meet with Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Now, the team announces that it has received permission from the Cincinnati Bengals to interview their offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Gruden has been a hot name since last season when he was credited for his work with then rookie quarterback Andy Dalton. The Bengals were hot again this year, particularly in the second half of the season and Gruden appears to be in play for at least two of the five teams still seeking a coach as the Arizona Cardinals also have interest.
