McGee's minutes continued to be limited due to coach George Karl's lack of confidence in playing him alongside Kenneth Faried
in crunch time, the Denver Post reports. "I just don’t feel comfortable playing JaVale and Kenneth Faried in defensive schemes (at the end of games)," Karl said. "I think we make too many mistakes. I thought JaVale played great, and when I took him out, I was initially thinking about putting him back in the game. But the matchups for me, I was choosing between Kenneth and JaVale, and I went with Kenneth."
Recommendation: McGee played a productive 21 minutes Thursday, scoring 18 points (9-12 FG) to go with six rebounds and four blocks. As long as Karl continues to put more weight in McGee's deficiencies instead of the positive things McGee brings to the court, it's unlikely we'll see McGee play near 30 minutes with regularity.
