Update: Witten (spleen) will do some on-field work during Saturday's practice, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Recommendation: He hasn't been cleared for contact yet, though, and with a short week to get ready for the Giants it still seems unlikely that the tight end will suit up for Week 1.
