Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Jason Peters fully healthy for Eagles

National Football Post

The Philadelphia Eagles are two days into their voluntary offseason workout program and there is some good news for a holdover.

Left tackle Jason Peters, who missed all of last season after rupturing his Achilles tendon twice, said he is fully recovered and was actually fully healed by December.

I’m 100 percent,” Peters said, according to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News. “I was going to come back last year, but it was a bad season. I could have (played), but I didn’t want to risk it with a losing season. And the coaches kind of held me back a little bit.”

So, Peters has no limitations as the Eagles get into their routine under new coach Chip Kelly. That will allow the 31-year-old to show the new staff what he can do. A former All-Pro, Peters has played at a high level as recently as 2011 but he must impress a new staff.

Peters played at 340 pounds two years ago and in the new system, he said his goal is to get down to 320. Considering he’s feeling good, that shouldn’t be too much trouble.
