Update: Halak (groin) was on the ice facing shots from Blues goalie coach Corey Hirsch on Saturday, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports.
Recommendation: With games coming up Monday and Wednesday, it sounds like Halak is approaching a possible return early next week. Brian Elliott will continue to see a heavy workload in Halak's absence.
