Alabama junior offensive lineman Cam Robinson, cornerback Marlon Humphrey and wide receiver ArDarius Stewart said they were heading to the NFL on Friday.

The declarations aren’t surprising. Humphrey had two interceptions and 36 total tackles. Stewart was Alabama’s leading receiver with 54 catches for 864 yards and eight touchdowns while Robinson is regarded as one of the best offensive linemen in the country.

Had Clemson not come back and scored a touchdown with a second left to beat the Crimson Tide in Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Stewart might own one of the most memorable plays during Alabama coach Nick Saban’s tenure at the school. Stewart’s completion to tight end O.J. Howard after a throwback from quarterback Jalen Hurts set up Hurts’ 30-yard touchdown run that gave Alabama a 31-28 lead with 2:07 left.

“These three players have made significant contributions, not only in how they played, but their leadership, how they affected their teammates,” Saban said. “The things that they did that were significant in creating success on and off the field.”

– Florida State wide receiver Travis Rudolph announced Friday he was heading to the NFL. Rudolph was Florida State’s leading receiver in 2016 and joins the team’s leading rusher, Dalvin Cook, in heading to the NFL.

Rudolph had 56 catches for 840 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016. His stats were down just slightly from 2015, when he had 59 catches for 916 yards and seven scores.
