Just days after countryman Mark Hunt stepped into a fight with Junior dos Santos on the UFC 160 fight card slated for May 25 in Las Vegas, New Zealander James Te Huna has also agreed to fight on the card.

He will step in to face Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight bout.

UFC officials announced the switch on Monday night.

Teixeira’s original opponent, Ryan Bader, had to withdraw due to a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for six to eight weeks, according to a report from MMAWeekly.com content partner Bleacher Report.

Te Huna (16-5) steps into the bout fresh off of a victory over Ryan Jimmo at UFC on Fuel TV 7 in mid-February. That victory ran Te Huna’s streak to four straight fights.

He is 5-1 in the Octagon, losing only to Alexander Gustafsson, currently one of the top contenders in the 205-pound division.

He’ll face one of his toughest tests to date in Teixeira, who has a 20-2 overall record, and is riding and 18-fight winning streak.

Teixeira is undefeated in his three Octagon appearances, most recently defeating Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Te Huna and Teixeira both fancy themselves proficient strikers, winning the majority of their bouts via knockout.

UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez rematches Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in the UFC 160 main event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
