What's buzzing:

James' jersey the most popular

The SportsXchange

The NBA's top-selling jersey is the No. 6 worn by league MVP LeBron James of the Miami Heat.

In sales rankings released Thursday from adidas and NBAStore.com, James was ahead of Los Angeles Lakers All-Star guard Kobe Bryant, who was out during the early portion of the season recovering from Achilles surgery and now is lost for six weeks after fracturing his left knee during a game on Tuesday night.

The fourth-quarter sales figures account for Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, which the NBA announced were record days.

It's the fifth time that James has topped the league's domestic jersey sales list. He also has the most popular jersey worldwide.

"If people love the way I play the game of basketball, love the way I inspire to be better, that's great," James said. "Every time I see someone in my jersey, a complete stranger, it's a wow factor. For me to be the No. 1 guy, to have the most jersey sales, it's crazy."

In the No. 3 spot is Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, who is sidelined with a knee injury after missing all of last season. Rose is followed by Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony at Nos. 4 and 5.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is on the list for the first time at No. 6. James' teammate, guard Dwyane Wade, is in the seventh spot. Rounding out the top 10 are Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving and Los Angeles Lakers forward Blake Griffin.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Indiana Pacers guard Paul George were in the top 15 for the first time at No. 12 and 14, respectively. The only rookie to crack the list was Michael Carter-Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers at No. 15.
