The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed second-year wide receiver Cecil Shorts on injured reserve because of a concussion. Shorts sustained his second concussion in a month during the Jaguars' 23-16 loss to New England last Sunday. The Division II Mount Union product was having a breakout season for Jacksonville with 55 receptions for 979 yards and seven touchdowns. His 17.8 yards per catch reflected his big-play ability. Earlier this week, the Jaguars placed running back Rashad Jennings (shoulder) and linebacker Greg Jones (leg) on injured reserve. The Jaguars (2-13) close out their season Sunday against Tennessee.
