Jaguars sign QB Wilson

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert will play at the Green Bay Packers on Sunday despite a left shoulder injury suffered in Week 8, but the Jacksonville Jaguars promoted John Parker Wilson off their practice squad to give them a third quarterback behind Gabbert and Chad Henne.

Wilson is familiar with head coach Mike Mularkey's offense, having spent three years with him in Atlanta, where Mularkey was the offensive coordinator.

Defensive end John Chick was activated from the physically unable to perform list, while offensive tackle Herb Taylor and linebacker Brandon Marshall were released.
