Jaguars sign Alex Mack to five-year, $42 million offer sheet

The Cleveland Browns are officially on the clock.

They have five days to decide whether to match the Jacksonville Jaguars' five-year, $42 million offer sheet for Pro Bowl center Alex Mack that he signed Friday.

The Browns are expected to match the offer sheet.

Mack can void the final three years of the deal and can't be traded.

According to ESPN, Mack is due $10 million this year and $8 million each of the next four years. The first htree years are fully guaranteed.

It's a power move from the Jaguars, who are trying to build a winning team.

If the Browns, who probably should have made Mack their franchise player instead of their transition player, don't match, they get nothing in return for the former Cal standout.
