Jagr may not be back with Bruins

Veteran center Jaromir Jagr does not expect to be back with the Boston Bruins next season.

A pending unrestricted free agent, the 41-year-old Jagr was the second-oldest player in the NHL this past season behind Anaheim's Teemu Selanne.

"I don't think they want me back," Jagr said, according to the MetroWest Daily News.

Despite suffering a back injury in the Stanley Cup Final, Jagr said he's not ready to retire. In 45 regular-season games, Jagr showed he can still play with 16 goals and 19 assists. But the Bruins may not have the cap room to sign him for next season.

"We do have some hard decisions to make, including on re-signing players and retaining players," Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said.

The Bruins also will have to decide whether or not to re-sign pending unrestricted free agent winger Nathan Norton, who had 19 points in 22 playoff games but suffered from shoulder problems during the season.
