Justin Blackmon had a big day receiving, but it wasn't enough to avoid a tough defeat for the Jaguars against the Broncos, 35-19, in Denver.
Chad Henne finished 27 for 42 with 303 yards, no touchdown passes and two picks. Peyton Manning ended up going 28 of 42 with 295 yards passing, two touchdowns, one pick and two fumbles for the Broncos.
Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 71 yards on 21 attempts with a score. Blackmon was a highlight, catching 14 passes for 190 yards.
The Jacksonville defense put forth a solid effort, highlighted by giving up 112 yards rushing and 295 passing while bringing back one interception for a touchdown.
Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had a big game, putting up 62 receiving yards, 42 rushing and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Wes Welker was also solid with 63 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Jaguars host the Chargers (2-3) next week while the Broncos head to Indianapolis to face the Colts (4-1).
