Update: Putz is scheduled to make his spring debut March 5, the D-Backs' official site reports.
Recommendation: Considering that he only appeared in six spring games last season, there's nothing to worry about as far as Putz's lack of a Cactus League appearance to this point. He's tentatively scheduled to make nine game appearances before the season begins. Look for Putz to serve as the D-Backs' closer, but he'll likely be spared working on three consecutive days, leaving a few save chances to David Hernandez and Heath Bell this season.
