Isaac Redman: Starting Against Chiefs On Monday

Update: Redman will start at running back for the Steelers on Monday against the Chiefs, NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports.

Recommendation: As expected, Rashard Mendenhall is inactive Monday, which sets the stage for Redman to head the Steelers’ Week 10 rushing attack, with Jonathan Dwyer also in the mix for carries and the Steelers potentially in a "ride the hot hand" mindset. With less than ideal weather on tap, the Steelers could well choose to pound the ball against a Chiefs’ defense that has allowed an average of 126 rushing yards per game, a scenario which would favor Redman being busy Monday.
