Invicta FC 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen II Moves to Cable and Satellite PPV in North America

Invicta FC Adds DirecTV to North American Pay-Per-View Providers for Coenen vs. Cyborg

Invicta FC 6: Cyborg vs. Coenen II, the promotion’s July 13 event in Kansas City, will be available on traditional cable and satellite provider-based pay-per-view in the United States and Canada.

Promotion officials announced the move, a first for the company, on Thursday.

Invicta FC 6 features Cris Cyborg vs. Marloes Coenen rematching in a headlining featherweight title bout, while the co-main event features undefeated strawweights Ayaka Hamasaki and Claudio Gadelha.

Invicta’s previous events have been available as an online-only pay-per-view on it’s website and via U-Stream. Invicta FC 6 will still be available via U-Stream for international viewers, but will now be available in the U.S. via iN Demand, DISH, and Avail-TVN, and on Bell TV in Canada.

Both the traditional and online pay-per-view are priced at $14.95, and starts at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

“We are excited about bringing the Invicta FC brand of women's world championship mixed martial arts to television for the first time with this tremendous rematch between two of the world's top women fighters,” said Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp. “This is yet another step forward for women's MMA and we are extremely proud to be leading the charge.”

“We’re excited to be distributing Invicta FC 6 to MMA fans in the U.S.,” Doug Jacobs of Integrated Sports Media, the company distributing the North American pay-per-view. “Women’s MMA has exploded and Invicta Fighting Championships has led the charge.”
