The Inspiring Morning Mantra This Father Taught His Daughter Will Give You Chills

From Woman's Day

If you're one of those people who hates mornings, this sweet video is here to change your mind.

Ron Alston and his three-year-old daughter Aliya recently became internet famous for their inspiring morning routine. Every day before Aliya goes to school, the pair face the mirror and recite a mantra that's so powerful, it might make you tear up.

Repeating after her father, the adorable toddler says:

I am strong. I am smart. I work hard. I am beautiful. I am respectful. I'm not better than anyone. Nobody's better than me. I am amazing. I am great.

The mantra then continues with some questions from dad:

"If you fall?" he asks. "I get back up," she proudly replies.

"What are you?" he asks, ending the mantra. "I'm blessed."

Wow. We officially have goosebumps-and so does the rest of the internet, apparently. After Ron shared the video on Facebook, it instantly caught on, and now has over 14 million views.

Ron, who works at a YMCA, revealed to Babble that, in addition to their daily affirmations, he uses a variety of positive reinforcement techniques with his daughter every single day.

I always try to speak to her in a calm voice, I allow her to make choices and try different things. I want her to understand and experience the world from her perspective and then learn to cope with the feelings that come with each interaction. I feel that the most important thing I do is encourage her to try.

It's official: This guy has earned the Dad of the Year title.
