Injury leaves gaping hole on Cougars' line

The SportsXchange

Houston Cougars left tackle Ralph Oragwu suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Saturday's 62-13 win over Southern.

Oragwu was hurt in the second quarter, coach Tony Levine told the Houston Chronicle.

He is a fifth-year senior who started 10 games last season as a right tackle. Because of injuries on the offensive line, Levine moved the 6-foot-3, 320-pound Oragwu to left tackle this preseason.

Oragwu could apply for a medical hardship waiver for a sixth year of eligibility.
