The Cleveland Indians announced Monday that they extended a one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offer to right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez for next season. Jimenez has until Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. ET to accept or decline the offer. If he declines the offer and signs with another team, the Indians receive an additional draft pick at the end of the first round in 2014. Jimenez turned down an $8 million club option last week, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Jimenez went 13-9 with a 3.30 ERA in 32 starts this season. He was particularly effective after the All-Star break, going 6-5 with a 1.82 ERA in 12 starts. That includes a 4-0 record with a 1.09 ERA in six September starts.
