Indians add RHP Lee to roster

The SportsXchange

Between games of Wednesday's doubleheader at Oakland, the Cleveland Indians called up right-handed reliever Cheng Chang Lee from Triple-A Columbus.

Major League Baseball rules allow teams to add an extra player to their roster for doubleheaders.

Lee, 27, began his big-league career with Cleveland last season, posting no record and a 4.15 ERA in eight relief appearances. He pitched in nine Cactus League games this year, earning two saves and posted a 3.24 ERA in 8 1/3 innings. The Indians optioned him to Columbus on March 24.

Oakland won Wednesday's first game, 6-1, behind a strong outing from left-hander Scott Kazmir.
