The veteran forward, 35, has made just three appearances this season and Damiani confirmed that he will end his playing days with Andrea Stramaccioni’s side.
"The call from Inter has arrived at the right moment for him to finish his playing days in the right manner," the attacker's representative told reporters.
"There are a few things still to sort out and hopefully they will be resolved during the day ahead. Then he’ll have his medical and he’ll put pen to paper on his contract.
"He’ll put himself at the total disposal of Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni."
The 35-year-old has been at Stadio Olimpico for a decade and scored over 100 goals for the Biancocelesti.
However, Rocchi has recently found himself fourth in the striking pecking order, behind Miroslav Klose, Libor Kozak and Sergio Floccari.
