IceHogs 4, Wolves 3

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- One night after dominating the Rockford IceHogs in Rosemont, Ill., the Chicago Wolves had the tables turned on them in a 4-3 loss on Saturday at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Right winger Kyle Beach scored his first three goals of the season and center Joakim Nordstrom added one for Rockford (12-11-1-0). Chicago's goals came from left winger Dmitrij Jaskin, center Christian Hanson and defenseman Taylor Chorney.

The Wolves. who lost 7-1 to the IceHogs on Friday night, fell to 10-9-0-2.

Beach scored early and often. His first goal came just 21 seconds into the game on an odd-man rush. He beat Chicago goaltender Jake Allen high on the glove-side.

Rockford went up 2-0 when Nordstrom chipped in a goal. Phillip Danault took off down the ice, beating a Wolves defender and sending a pass to Nordstrom across the crease for an open net.

Two more goals from Beach in the second period sealed the loss for Chicago and Allen (9-5-2). Beach added his second of the night 27 seconds into the period and completed the hat trick with a short-handed goal at 17:00.

Jaskin scored Chicago's first goal at 13:14 of the second period on a five-on-three power play, receiving a pass in the middle of the zone to beat goaltender Kent Simpson.

The Wolves added two goals in the third period from Hanson and Chorney. Chicago almost scored the equalizer with seconds left but was stonewalled by Simpson.

Simpson (5-6-0) made 31 saves. Allen stopped 22 shots.
