The Houston Texans will look to build off the momemtum of their first ever playoff appearance in 2012.

The Texans , the NFL 's 32nd team, accomplished several franchise firsts in 2011. Last year, Houston set a franchise record for most wins, most road wins and most consecutive victories in a season. They also claimed their first division title and won their first playoff game in their first playoff appearance.

Rivals: Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Tennessee. The Texans are 11-9 against the Jaguars, 3-17 versus the Colts and 6-14 against the Titans in their history.

Traditions: The Texans have several traditions. These traditions involve Battle Red Day, the Bull Pen, the Bull Pen Pep Band, a pre-kickoff tradition and player introduction. Battle Red Day is where fans are encouraged to dress in red like Texan players. The Bull Pen is where the most avid Texans fans sit at Reliant Stadium. The Bull Pen Pep Band is a musical band that plays at every Texan home game. Prior to every kickoff at Reliant Stadium, the Texans run a short clip of a raging bull thrashing the team that they are facing that day. During player introductions, the public address announcer will announce the player's first name and fans will say the player's last name.

2011 record: 11-7. The Texans set a franchise record for total wins as well as regular season wins (10) in 2011.
