The Houston Dynamo's MLS-record home unbeaten streak ended at 36 matches in all competitions following a 1-0 loss to Sporting Kansas City on Sunday night.
A year after the inaugural match at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Dynamo finally lost in its new home. In all, the Texan club went 30 MLS home matches without losing.
The game's only goal came with 20 minutes remaining. Seth Sinovic launched a throw-in into the box, and Aurelien Collin headed over Tally Hall. Corey Ashe tried to clear on the goal line, but only managed to push it into the net.
The result leaves the clubs, with the Montreal Impact, in a three-way tie for second in the Eastern Conference, one point behind the New York Red Bulls.
