Danuel House scored a game-high 22 points and L.J. Rose and TaShawn Thomas added 18 each in leading Houston to an 80-66 victory over Lehigh on Sunday at the Hofheinz Pavilion. Houston remained undefeated at 4-0, while Lehigh fell to 1-2. It is the second-straight year that the Cougars have begun their season 4-0, and only the second time since 1997-98. Lehigh, which was led by Mackey McKnight's 14, managed to claw back from a halftime deficit to lead, 64-63, in an Austin Price slam with 4:07 left to play. But the Cougars responded with a 17-2 tear to finish the game. Houston entered halftime leading 34-25. The Cougars shot a very efficient 16 for 27 (59.3 percent) to Lehigh's 12 of 29 (41.4 percent). Lehigh's lone lead in the first half came on a jumper by Tim Kempton to open the game. Houston then responded by scoring the next 11 points. The Mountain Hawks got within 11-8 and Houston responded again with another run, a 6-0 streak. The Cougars' largest first-half lead was 34-21, when House hit a 3-pointer with 4:39 left in the half.
