Horton to miss Jackets' key game vs. Avs

The SportsXchange

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without Nathan Horton for Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche due to a lower body injury, and the winger's status for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers is uncertain.

Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said Horton has been playing through the injury, but it has impacted him more of late. Horton has 17 points in 34 games for Columbus this season, but has not scored a goal in the past 24 games.

Columbus holds the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, but entered Monday just one point ahead of Washington and two ahead of Toronto.
