Hiroki Kuroda chased in fourth inning of loss vs. Rays

Yankees pitcher Hiroki Kuroda took a loss Tuesday, allowing four earned runs on nine hits in just 3 1/3 innings while striking out five in his team's 4-3 defeat against the Rays.

Kuroda (10-9) surrendered a solo home run in the second inning, and the Rays were able to push two more runs across in the third. The starter was removed after a third straight single with one out brought a run home in the fourth inning. Kuroda owns a 3.91 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 125:35 K:BB ratio in 177 1/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Orioles Sunday.
