George Hill scored 37 points and added 9 rebounds, while David West added 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers to a close victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, 118-113. Indiana (39-10) has now won four straight.
Hill went 12-19 from the field (2-4 on 3-pointers) and 11-12 from the free throw line, in a quality performance offensively. Paul George also chipped in for Indiana, finishing with 17 points and 7 assists. Damian Lillard had another strong performance for Portland despite the loss, putting up 38 points on 15-26 shooting (4-7 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-5 from the free throw line. He also registered 11 assists. LaMarcus Aldridge added 22 points and 9 rebounds and Robin Lopez finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
This drops Portland (35-15) to 1-1 versus Indiana on the season.
Coming up, the Pacers square off against the Orlando Magic, who are 15-37 on the season. The Trail Blazers meet the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently sitting at 24-25 this year. The Pacers came away with a win in two straight games against Orlando. The Trail Blazers are 1-1 versus Minnesota this season.
