HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) -- John Brown shot 10-of-15 from the field and scored 22 points as High Point beat Wofford 66-56 on Sunday.
The Panthers (3-2) began the game on an 11-2 run and never trailed. High Point opened the second half on a 12-4 run to extend its lead to 43-31. The closest Wofford (1-4) got after that was within 6 points.
High Point shot 54.2 percent from the field and had Lorenzo Cugini and Adam Weary score in double figures as well with 15 points and 12 points, respectively.
Wofford shot just 33.3 percent from the floor and made only 11 of 20 free throws. The Terriers have yet to score more than 57 points against a Division I opponent this season in four games against such opponents. Spencer Collins led the Terriers with 13 points.
