Reader response to last week's High Fives
How could all of you leave off Dan Dickau in the "Top 5 players that first come to mind when you think of March Madness" – Steve, Queens, NY

Why do you guys call yourselves "experts" if you don't realize that Illinois is 32-1 going into the tournament and will never be farther than 500 miles from Champaign. So why is Illinois not going to win the title again? – Jonathan

Concerning Harmon's memorable tourney player pick: Chris Webber. … Look at the tape! That timeout blunder meant NOTHING to the outcome of the game. UNC wins anyway. – Mike, Richmond, VA

Is Matt Romig a Duke hater or what? Everyone else mentioned J.J. Redick as a potential top 5 performer in the tournament, Duke as a potential champion, and Laettner as one of the best players in the tournament ever. What gives? Did he go to Carolina? – John, Washington, D.C.

Funston response: Matt actually went to San Jose St. But I have not confirmed whether Duke Hating 101 is part of the Spartans curriculum.

I thought you were a pretty sharp guy (directed at Funston) until I saw you pick West Virginia to be one of the five most likely No. 7 seeds or lower to go out of the NCAA's in the first round. Come on, they had seven wins over top 25 teams this year and just came off a red-hot conference tournament. By the way, did you happen to catch their second round game? Let's Goooooo Mountaineers! – Dan
