The Miami Heat have signed forward-center Chris "Birdman" Andersen for the rest of the season, the team announced Friday. Andersen, 34, had joined the Heat on Jan. 20 when he signed the first of first of two 10-day contracts. Terms of the deal that will take him to the end of the season were not disclosed. The 10-year NBA veteran has seen action in six games for Miami and averaged 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds. Andersen played for the Denver Nuggets last season and averaged 5.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 32 games.
