BOONE, N.C. (AP) -- Nathan Healy scored 22 points and Tevin Baskin recorded a double-double to help Appalachian State beat Elon 80-70 on Saturday.

Baskin finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Mountaineers (6-8, 2-1 Southern Conference), who have won four straight games. Mike Neal scored 17 points with six turnovers, Jay Canty had 12 points and Tab Hamilton added 10.

Appalachian State trailed 49-46 with 12:27 left in the second half. But the Mountaineers went on an 8-0 run that was capped by Hamilton's layup to claim a five-point lead with 10:04 remaining.

Elon cut the score to 63-61 on Sebastian Koch's two free throws with 4:48 left in the game. But Appalachian State pushed its lead to eight points on Healy's 3-pointer to pull away.

Ryley Beaumont scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Phoenix (8-7, 1-2), who had a 12-point lead in the first half.
