Haslam confirms Browns did talk about Jim Harbaugh
The Cleveland Browns did hold talks with the San Francisco 49ers about 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, according to Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.
“There was an opportunity there, and it didn’t materialize,” Haslam told USA Today.
The 49ers have denied the Pro Football Talk report that a potential trade was discussed.
There have been reports that Harbaugh didn't want to be traded.
The Browns have not denied the report.
The 49ers haven't been able to reach a contract extension with Harbaugh, who's known for having a combustible personality.
