BOSTON (AP) -- Jonah Travis had 20 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lead Harvard past Holy Cross 82-72 Sunday night in a season opener for both teams.
The Crimson overcame and early 17-10 deficit and crawled back to tie the game at 23 and took a six-point advantage at the break.
The Crusaders fell behind by as many as 10 in the second half, but surged to take a 61-60 lead with 5:49 remaining.
Siyani Chambers hit two free throws, a jumpshot and a 3-pointer and Travis made a layup to grab an eight-point lead for Harvard.
Holy Cross cut the deficit to five, but the Crimson made five of their last six free throws to keep the game out of reach.
Four starters finished in double figures for Harvard as Wesley Saunders had 18 points and Curry added 14.
Dave Dudzinski led Holy Cross with 25 points.
