POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) -- Khallid Hart scored 15 points to lead Marist to its fourth straight win in a 75-56 victory over Fairfield on Thursday night.
Marist (4-9, 1-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) held Fairfield scoreless for the first 8:30 to open the game and limited the Stags to only 19 first-half points. The Red Foxes' four-game winning streak followed a nine-game skid to open the season.
Fairfield (3-10, 0-3) closed the gap to 41-35, but Marist went on second-half runs of 8-0 and 11-2 to build its largest lead at 66-44.
Sean Grennan was 4 of 5 from 3-point range to lead Fairfield with 14 points. Coleman Johnson scored 11 and Marcus Gilbert had 10.
