Harrison unfamiliar with Stabler
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison said he's never heard of Ken Stabler, one of the players to file a lawsuit against the NFL that said Harrison should be banned from the game.
The lawsuit is related to concussions players received during their playing days, and Harrison was cited in the lawsuit as one of the game's "recidivist violators" of violent hits.
Asked during an interview on WXDX in Pittsburgh whether he was aware of the lawsuit, Harrison said he was not.
When asked about the assertions of Stabler and the other players in the lawsuit that Harrison should be banned for his violent style, Harrison replied, according to NFL.com, "Who is -- Ken who?"
When told it was Ken Stabler, Harrison said, "Never heard of him. His opinion doesn't matter to me."
Stabler was the Raiders quarterback in the playoff game on Dec. 23, 1972, when the Steelers' Franco Harris made the famous "Immaculate Reception" to score the winning touchdown.
