Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was not happy that the jersey he wore on Opening Day was recently auctioned off by the team.
He slammed two home runs on April 1 in the victory over the Miami Marlins.
The game-worn jersey was sold for more than $13,000.
"They just take my jersey away from me and don't ask if I want it or anything!" Harper wrote on Twitter on Thursday. "First opening day! Jersey gone!"
Harper, in his second year, was called up from the minors after the start of the season last year.
He also wrote: "I hope all the money goes to charity and not something wrong! Charities need it way more!"
Sales of the jersey did go to charity, according to the MLB auction site, UPI reported.
