Hardwick heading back to the Bolts

National Football Post

The San Diego Chargers have announced that they have come to terms on a new three-year deal with center Nick Hardwick.

The eight-year veteran, who has started 103 games during his tenure in San Diego, was scheduled to become a free agent at 4:00pm ET today. The move helps to solidify an offensive line that is likely to see some new faces in 2012, as left tackle Marcus McNeill is no longer with the club after being released on Tuesday.

In addition, the Chargers also said goodbye to cornerback Dante Hughes, who had been with the team since 2009.
