Harden, Westbrook to compete in Shooting Stars Challenge

The hometown Houston Rockets will have James Harden participating in the in the Shooting Stars Challenge as part of the All-Star Saturday Night festivities, the NBA announced Thursday.

The event is scheduled for Feb. 17 at Houston's Toyota Center.

The competition features a team consisting of a NBA star, a retired NBA legend and a WNBA player. They go through obstacle courses, various shots and a half-court shot to end the event. They will be split

The Western Conference participants will include current players Harden and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, WNBA stars Maya Moore of Minnesota and Tina Thompson of Seattle, and NBA legends Sam Cassell and Robert Horry.

The Eastern Conference team will feature Miami's Chris Bosh and Brooklyn's Brook Lopez, WNBA stars Swin Cash of Chicago and Tamika Catchings of Indiana and NBA legends Muggsy Bogues and Dominique Wilkins.
