Stephanie McMahon Q&A:

Hamstrings are a problem for Bulls' Rose

The SportsXchange

It may be Derrick Rose's hamstrings, not his surgically repaired knee, that is preventing him from returning to action for the Chicago Bulls.

Rose told ESPN's Doris Burke before Sunday's game that his hamstrings are "on fire" after recent workouts.

He said he won't play in a game until the hamstring issue is no longer a problem.

Rose has been medically cleared to play, but ESPNChicago.com had reported on Friday that Rose was reluctant to return because he is struggling to dunk when taking off his left leg. He tore his anterior-cruciate ligament in his left knee last season.

Rose did not sit on the bench with the team during the first half of Sunday's game.
