DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- Andy Vailas threw a touchdown pass and ran for another in the first half of New Hampshire's 43-10 home win over Central Connecticut State on Saturday.

Vailas, who finished with 122 yards passing on 14-of-20 attempts in his first collegiate start, opened scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run. Then, after Jared Allison scored from 30-yards out to help the Wildcats (2-1) jump ahead 13-3, Vailas connected with Harold Spears on a 1-yard touchdown to put the game away.

From there, the Wildcats rushing attack took over, adding three more touchdowns.

New Hampshire outgained CCSU (0-3) 459-234 yards despite running four less plays.

Nico Steriti, Jimmy Owens and Chris Setian led the Wildcats' ground game with 104, 91 and 81 yards, respectively. The trio has combined for 512 yards and seven touchdowns on 83 carries.

New Hampshire has beaten CCSU seven-straight times, with the closest margin of victory at 13 points.
