GSP Guarantees UFC 154 Victory Against Carlos Condit: Fan Reaction

UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre, hasn't been inside the Octagon in over 18 months, but "Rush" remains confident he'll emerge victorious when he defends his title against Carlos Condit on Nov. 17.

The two will headline the UFC 154 fight card at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

For St. Pierre, it will be his first appearance inside the Octagon since he injured his knee (ACL) while preparing for a fight against Nick Diaz. GSP's knee has since been surgically repaired, and the Canadian claims it won't have any effect on his performance at UFC 154.

GSP expects Condit to test out his newly repaired knee, and he's certain he'll be able to take anything the "Natural Born Killer" dishes out.

"It's been a year and a half, I can't wait to fight," St. Pierre said during a recent interview. "I'm back stronger and better than ever. … I hope Condit is focused on my knee. It's not a weak link any more. There is nothing than I can't do now that I was able to do. I will leave with the belt; there is no doubt in my mind."

Even though St. Pierre has been inactive for quite some time, he's still the best welterweight in MMA right now.

Condit came out with an intelligent game-plan during his last outing against Diaz -- capturing the interim welterweight title in the process-- but I can't see him utilizing a similar strategy against the UFC's real 170-pound champion. GSP's grappling style is a lot more aggressive than Nick's and he shouldn't have any problems getting the fight to the ground.

Striking wise, St. Pierre is skilled enough to hold his own against Condit, and he should fine as long as he doesn't get careless inside the Octagon.

GSP's wrestling-heavy style has been criticized a lot lately, but it will be his path to victory against Condit at UFC 154.
