Yahoo Daily Fantasy:

Greg Jennings opts to have surgery

National Football Post

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will have surgery on Tuesday to help him return from what had been called a groin muscle injury, something that has sidelined him for much of the season.

Mike Vandermause of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Jennings will have surgery in Philadelphia and expects to be back at work in Green Bay the following day. According to Vandermause, Jennings described the injury as an abdominal tear. The surgery is not season ending and Jennings expects to return to the field some time during the second half of the season.

Jennings was injured in the season opener and returned to play in Week 3, a decision at this point that he admits regretting. Now, he hopes to get his body right in time to make an impact for an offense that is clicking with Randall Cobb stepping up. It’s fair to say his contract season has not gone as planned.
